These tools are intended to help aid in the instruction of the students. They can be used as formative assessments or practice. I really liked the quizlet app as it can make flashcards matching, multiple choice or drag and drop. ProProfs was a little bit harder to navigate but it was still fairly easy to use. I would use both of these tools in the class to give the students a different way to practice the concepts and get immediate feedback.

1. www.classtools.net/ Classtools is an authoring tool which a teacher can create games, quizzes and diagrams an post them directly to their webpage. It is free of charge and the teacher doesn't even need to sign up. 2. www.courselab.com/view_doc.html?mode=home Courselab is an authoring tool where educators can author online interactive material which can be used on their website or class. There is a version that is free of charge but you must download it. This authoring tool seems a bit more complicated than classtools. Teachers must take into account of whether the authoring tool is easy to use. If it is going to take the teacher a substantial amount of time to create a quiz or game then was the tool actually worth it. The teacher must also take into account whether the tool has adequate graphics and animation. The teacher must ask the question is the material going to engage my student?

www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra/one-variable-linear-equations/alg1-two-steps-equations-intro/a/two-step-equations-review With the Fair Use and TEACH Act, educators can use materials for educational purposes as long as you . As long as the instructor is following the guidelines for Fair use and the TEACH Act , they will have more resources available for them to use in their online content. This opens up alot of possiblities for the instructor and the students when it comes to the content of the class. Before I learned more about these two acts, I was a little timid in using other resources. Now, I know that I can use video clips and materials more freely. I just need to make sure that I am following the guidelines.
Open Educational Resources are online teaching and learning resources that are available for anyone to use. This was created so that everyone can have access to updated educational materials. From my research I could find seven different types of creative commons licenses.
These are: CCO: Freeing content globally without restrictions BY: Attribution alone BY- SA: Attribution + Share Alike BY-NC: Attribution+ Noncommercial BY-ND: Attribution + No Derivatives BY-NC-SA: Attribution+ Noncommercial+ Share Alike BY-NC-ND: Attribution+ Noncommericial+ No Derivatives This wikipedia website was helpful in my research. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creative_Commons_license piktochart.com/ Instructions for Assessment on 2 Step Equations Using Piktochart.com make a poster, presentation or infographic explaining to someone how you solve a 2 step equation. You must have appropriate examples and detailed written explanations. Be Creative! This tool can differentiate assessment for students because they are getting to choose what product to make. They are also creating something which makes it a higher order thinking assessment. Students are having to explain and also show the math concept which will give the teacher a clear understanding of the student's knowledge.
I used PowToon as my tool for differentiation. I can use this tool to help with the presentation of material. It will help make concepts that tend to not be interesting for students more interesting by adding cartoons and animation during the instruction. It is a different way of instructing students through characters. I really enjoyed making this presentation and can definitely use this in the future.

These are KhanAcademy, Ck12, Mathalicious, Math is fun, Learn Zillion, Soft Schools and Ga Virtual math lesson. They have a good font color and font size and they are appealing to the user. While they are not perfect by any means they are very appealing. Out of the 10 websites that I researched, only three seemed not as appealing to me. These are Math Playground, Cool Math and Discovery Education. Math Playground and Cool Math have too much going on with too many colors. While their games are very interesting and good for educational practice, the actual website is distracting for the user. Discovery Education could use some text poppers or videos as it is just a plain website without much appeal. Math is fun has alot to offer the student in a calm and appealing setting. The background and fonts are soothing and not jumbled up. Math playground has alot to offer the student but there are alot of different colors. Math playground seems very busy and has too much going on for one page.
